🤝 Your role as a partner

You are part of BlueVision's authorised sales channel for Fusion Cloud in South Africa. You don't need to be a cyber security expert — you need to identify the right customers and connect the dots between their business risk and this service.

What success looks like

A successful conversation ends with a qualified prospect agreeing to a Fusion Cloud demonstration or trial conversation. Your job is to open the door — BlueVision's team will support you on technical deep-dives.

🏗️ How the partner channel works
Distributor — Cloud On Demand

Cloud On Demand (COD) is BlueVision's appointed distributor for South Africa. COD manages the commercial relationship, marketplace listing on CloudBlue, partner onboarding, and first-line commercial support for resellers.

Resellers — Your role

Resellers transact through COD — quotes, orders, and billing all flow via the CloudBlue marketplace. You do not contract directly with BlueVision. For deal support or demos, engage your COD account manager in the first instance.

⚠️

Important rule: Never promise that Fusion Cloud will "prevent all breaches" or "make a client's environment fully secure." Always position it as a monitoring and advisory service. If in doubt, say: "BlueVision's team can answer that specific question — let me set up a call."

What is Fusion Cloud?
The plain-English story you can tell any client in two minutes.
🗣 The one-sentence pitch
"Fusion Cloud gives your organisation continuous security monitoring across your cloud and identity environment — surfacing real threats, not noise — and delivers a clear monthly report so you can focus on running your business."

Most of your clients face the same security challenges, even if they don't use these exact words:

📢

"We're drowning in security alerts" — Too many tools, too many notifications, no one has time to figure out what's real.

🔓

"Someone stole an employee's login" — Identity attacks (password theft, account takeover) are the #1 way attackers get in.

☁️

"We don't know what we've left exposed" — Cloud systems can be misconfigured, leaving sensitive services visible to attackers.

🚑

"When something goes wrong, we don't know until it's too late" — Incidents are discovered weeks after they started, not in real time.

🌐 External exposure

Continuously scans what attackers can see and reach — cloud assets, services, and entry points that are visible from outside.

🆔 Identity monitoring

Watches Microsoft 365 for suspicious logins, credential misuse, and account takeover attempts — the most common attack method. Available on Standard and Premium tiers.

🔧 Cloud posture

Monitors cloud platform configurations for misconfigurations that could be exploited — before attackers find them. Covers M365 and Azure at Standard tier, and extends to AWS and GCP at Premium.

🔗 Cross-platform correlation

At Premium tier, Fusion integrates with your existing security stack — firewalls, mail filtering, AV/XDR — pulling signals from across your entire environment to surface threats that individual tools would miss in isolation. Available on Premium tier.

🚨 Incident response

When something real is detected, a contextual alert is raised with enough detail for your team or IT partner to act — no raw logs to dig through, no guesswork about what matters.

📊 Executive reporting

Professional reports that translate security findings into business risk — designed for the CEO or Board, not just the IT team.

✓ It IS
A focused monitoring and alerting service
Expert-led — humans validate every real alert, so you're not chasing noise
Fixed-price — predictable subscription, no surprises
Fast to deploy — live within 5 business days
Cloud-native — designed for M365, AWS, Azure
✗ It is NOT
A traditional SOC that logs everything
A guarantee that breaches won't happen
A replacement for firewalls or endpoint tools
Hardware-based — nothing to install on-premise
Per-GB or per-event priced — no bill shock
💡

Key differentiator to remember: Most competitors charge per alert, per GB of logs, or per user — and bills spiral as businesses grow. Fusion Cloud charges a flat subscription. Clients are never penalised for growth.

The Network Topology

One of the most common questions from clients — and the most important one to answer confidently — is: "Where does Fusion Cloud actually sit, and what does it do to my existing setup?" The answer is simple: it adds a dedicated monitoring layer to the parts of the network most targeted by attackers today — without touching anything that already exists. Use the diagram below to walk clients through exactly where Fusion Cloud connects, what it watches, and why the lower layers remain completely unchanged.

🗺️

Use this in every initial meeting. Clients often worry that a new security service means replacing their firewall, their antivirus, or their existing IT setup. This diagram kills that objection before it's raised — they can see immediately that Fusion Cloud sits above and alongside what they already have.

💬 Talk track — using this diagram with a client
"Think of your network in layers. Right now you probably have a firewall, some antivirus, and maybe a VPN — all sitting at the bottom protecting your devices and servers. That stays exactly as it is. What Fusion Cloud adds is a dedicated expert watching the top layers — the parts that sit closest to the internet: your Microsoft 365 logins, your cloud platforms, and anything externally facing. These are where over 80% of modern attacks now start, and they're the blind spot for most traditional tools. Fusion Cloud connects directly to your cloud environment — no hardware, no disruption — and our team alerts you the moment something that matters is detected."
🎯

Objection pre-empt: If a client says "we already have a firewall and antivirus" — point to the bottom two zones and say: "Those are still there, and they still do their job. Fusion Cloud watches the layers above them — the cloud and identity layer — which your firewall can't see at all."

The Three Service Tiers
Fusion Cloud comes in three tiers. Each is designed for a different client size and complexity. Choosing the right one is key to a successful sale.
Essentials
Fusion Cloud
Essentials
$15.00
per domain / per month
Built for smaller organisations that need to know when something's wrong — before it becomes a problem.
  • Domain security monitoring — We keep a continuous eye on your internet-facing presence, watching for signs of compromise or exposure.
  • Security incident alerting — If something suspicious happens, you'll know about it promptly — not weeks later.
  • Monthly executive report — A clear, jargon-free summary of your security posture, delivered to your inbox and ready to share with leadership or a board.

⚠️ External monitoring only. Does not include identity, cloud posture, or M365/Azure monitoring — those are available from Standard tier.

Premium
Fusion Cloud
Premium
$15.00
per seat / per month
For organisations running complex, multi-cloud environments that need full visibility and deeper risk insight.
  • Everything in Standard, plus:
  • Multi-platform monitoring — Unified visibility across Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud Platform — not just one vendor's ecosystem.
  • Cross-platform security correlation — We don't just monitor your cloud platforms — we can integrate with your existing security stack too, including mail filtering, firewalls, and AV/XDR solutions. By pulling signals from across your entire environment, we connect the dots between events that individual tools see in isolation, surfacing threats that would otherwise go unnoticed.
  • Complex environment alerting — Incident detection built for the reality of multi-cloud and hybrid environments.
  • Advanced executive risk report — A consolidated view of risk across all your platforms, with deeper strategic context tailored for leadership decision-making.

How to decide which tier to quote: Start by asking "how many cloud users does this organisation have, which Microsoft 365 licences are they on, and which platforms are they using?" Under 50 seats = Essentials. 50+ seats on Microsoft 365 Business tier or higher (Business Basic / Standard / Premium, E3, E5) and/or Azure = Standard. 50+ seats spread across multiple cloud platforms (e.g. Azure + AWS + GCP) = Premium. Note: Microsoft frontline licences (F1/F3) and consumer SKUs don't count toward the Standard 50-seat floor.

Qualifying Your Prospect
Not every client is a Fusion Cloud fit — yet. Use these questions to quickly spot a good opportunity and choose the right tier.
🏢 Industry sweet spots
Financial services Legal & professional services Healthcare Logistics & supply chain Manufacturing Retail & e-commerce

Any organisation that stores sensitive data, has compliance obligations, or would face serious consequences from a breach.

📋 Compliance triggers

Organisations with regulatory obligations are strong leads — the reporting Fusion Cloud provides is directly useful for compliance evidence.

POPIA ISO 27001 SOC 2 PCI-DSS Cyber Insurance
🚩 Pain point triggers

Listen for these phrases — they're almost always a Fusion Cloud opportunity:

"Too many alerts" "Account was compromised" "We had a breach" "Our insurer asked about monitoring" "We need to report on security"

Ask these in discovery. Click each item once confirmed.

?
How many cloud user accounts (seats) do you have? Under 50 → Essentials | 50+ on one platform → Standard | 50+ across multiple platforms → Premium
?
Are you using Microsoft 365, AWS, or Azure? Fusion Cloud is built for these platforms. If yes to any — you have a fit.
?
Do you have any compliance obligations or cyber insurance? POPIA, ISO 27001, SOC 2, or cyber insurance renewals are powerful buying triggers.
?
Have you had a security incident in the past 24 months? Prior incidents dramatically improve urgency and conversion rates.
?
Who in your organisation is responsible for cyber security? Ideal contacts: IT Manager, CTO, CFO, or Risk/Compliance lead. Avoid going only through IT Admins.
?
Do you currently have any security monitoring in place? If no — opportunity is wide open. If yes — explore what's missing (usually identity monitoring or executive reporting).
🎯

When in doubt, start with Standard. It's the most commonly applicable tier for mid-market South African businesses. You can always upgrade a client to Premium later — it's much harder to sell down.

If your client says... Recommended tier
"We have about 20–30 Microsoft 365 users" Essentials
"We have about 80 staff on M365" Standard
"We use M365, Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud" Premium
"We have 200 users across multiple cloud apps" Premium
"We're very small — just 15 people" Essentials
Powered by Fusion Cloud

Fusion Cloud doesn't just monitor — it creates natural licensing conversations. Use what you see in the client's environment to open the door to Microsoft licensing upgrades. Each scenario below gives you the context, the conversation, and the outcome.

Business Basic Business Premium Fusion Cloud Essentials trigger

Client has web-only Office apps, email, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive — but no meaningful security controls beyond basic MFA. Business Basic only includes Microsoft Entra ID Free, which means MFA is on by default, but there is no Conditional Access, no Intune device management, and no Defender for Business. When you onboard them to Fusion Cloud Essentials, the external exposure becomes visible — but there's nothing protecting identities or endpoints underneath.

💬 The conversation
"We can see your external footprint is exposed, but there's no device protection, no endpoint security, and no identity controls beyond basic MFA. Business Premium is the minimum security baseline your business should be operating at — and it's what makes proper monitoring possible."
What they gain

Microsoft Defender for Business (advanced endpoint protection), Microsoft Intune Plan 1 (full device management), Defender for Office 365 Plan 1 (email threat protection), and Microsoft Entra ID P1 (Conditional Access).

Business Standard Business Premium Fusion Cloud Essentials trigger

Client has full desktop Office apps and email — but from a security standpoint, they're in the same position as Basic. Business Standard adds desktop applications and email capabilities over Basic, but it does not stack up security-wise: it includes the same limited Entra ID Free and Basic Mobility and Security — no Intune, no Defender for Business, no Conditional Access. Fusion Cloud Essentials will surface exposure and identity risk, but there's no security stack to act on it.

💬 The conversation
"You've got the productivity tools in place, but your security posture is essentially the same as a Basic user. Business Premium adds the device management and endpoint protection we need to properly monitor and respond to what Fusion is finding."
What they gain

The same security uplift as Business Basic clients — Defender for Business, Intune, Conditional Access, and Defender for Office 365 Plan 1. They also become eligible for full Fusion Cloud onboarding.

Business Premium Microsoft 365 E3 Fusion Cloud Standard trigger

Client has solid SMB security foundations — Defender, Intune, and Conditional Access are in place. Moving them to Fusion Cloud Standard will start surfacing behaviours and compliance gaps that Business Premium can't fully address. E3 removes the 300-user cap, shifts toward enterprise scale, includes Windows 11 Enterprise, and adds client access licences for on-premises and hybrid workloads. Critically, E3 includes Exchange Online Plan 2 (100GB mailboxes with archiving) and SharePoint Plan 2 — which matters for compliance-heavy scenarios like eDiscovery, legal holds, and data retention.

💬 The conversation
"Fusion is surfacing behaviours that your current licensing can't fully govern. E3 gives you enterprise-grade compliance controls, larger mailbox and data retention capabilities, and removes the 300-user ceiling — meaning we can monitor and report across your full environment without licensing constraints."
What they gain

Enterprise compliance tooling, SharePoint Plan 2, larger mailboxes with archiving, Windows 11 Enterprise, and a scalable identity and governance foundation.

Microsoft 365 E3 Microsoft 365 E5 Fusion Cloud Standard trigger

Client is mid-market or enterprise with a solid security stack — detection is happening, but response is largely manual. At Fusion Cloud Standard, you're correlating identity telemetry and identifying attack patterns — but E3 lacks the automation and advanced analytics to respond at pace. Critically, E5 introduces AI-powered automation that not only detects threats but takes action itself, and adds Microsoft Entra ID P2, which unlocks Privileged Identity Management and automated identity risk responses that E3's Entra ID P1 simply cannot provide.

💬 The conversation
"Fusion is identifying identity-driven attack patterns and anomalous behaviours that your current setup can detect but not automatically contain. E5 adds the automation, behavioural analytics, and privileged identity controls that turn detection into action — without relying on manual investigation every time."
What they gain

Defender for Endpoint Plan 2, Entra ID P2 (Privileged Identity Management, Identity Protection), automated investigation and response, advanced behavioural analytics, and Purview compliance.

Microsoft 365 E5 Optimisation & Expansion Fusion Cloud Premium trigger

Client is security-mature, possibly multi-tenant — they have the tools, but are they actually working? This is where Fusion Cloud Premium earns its keep. The question isn't what they have licensed — it's whether the controls are operationalised, integrated with their broader security stack (firewalls, mail filtering, AV/XDR), and delivering measurable outcomes. The conversation now shifts from licensing to proving value.

💬 The conversation
"You've invested in best-in-class controls. Fusion makes sure they're actually working — validated against real-world scenarios, correlated across your entire environment, and giving your board meaningful visibility into your security posture."
What they gain

Measurable resilience, reduced alert fatigue, faster incident response, and board-level reporting that demonstrates the return on their security investment.

The Pitch — What to Say
You don't need to understand how it works under the hood. You need to tell a compelling story about the business problem and the outcome. Here's how.
🗣 Opening narrative (adapt to your style)
"Most businesses have moved to the cloud — Microsoft 365, Azure, maybe AWS — and they assume they're protected because they're using a reputable platform. The reality is different. Cloud environments are probed by attackers every single day, and the platform itself won't tell you what they can see about you, or when something's gone wrong.

Identity-based attacks — stolen credentials, compromised accounts, unusual access — are behind over 80% of breaches today. And most businesses only find out weeks after the fact, if at all.

Fusion Cloud is BlueVision's answer to that problem. Depending on your environment, it monitors your external exposure, your Microsoft 365 and Azure identity landscape, and your broader cloud platforms — continuously, in the background. When something suspicious appears, it gets flagged and assessed. And at the end of every month, you receive a clear, plain-language report on your actual risk — not a wall of technical alerts, but something you can put in front of your leadership team and act on.

It's a fixed monthly cost, no surprises, and no complex setup. You get the visibility of an enterprise security team, sized and priced for your business."
Say this
"You'll know within hours if an attacker is trying to get in through an employee account." (Standard and Premium only)
"Your board or auditors get a monthly report showing your security posture."
"One flat monthly fee — you'll never get a surprise bill for a security incident."
"You'll be live and monitored within 5 business days of signing."
"Real experts review every real alert — you won't be chasing false alarms."
Avoid this
Talking about SIEM, SOAR, or EDR unless they bring it up.
Promising "100% detection" or "breach prevention".
Going deep into how the technology works before they've bought in.
Mentioning vendor or tool names — it's the Fusion Cloud service, not specific products.
Discussing other BlueVision services (pen testing, incident response) — these are separate and not part of this agreement.
🔵 Essentials (small business, <50 seats)
"For a business your size, Fusion Cloud Essentials gives you exactly what you need — continuous monitoring of what attackers can see about you online, instant alerting if something suspicious surfaces, and a clear monthly security report delivered straight to you. No jargon, no complexity, no big commitments. You're live in under a week."
🟢 Standard (mid-market, 50+ seats)
"With 50+ users in the cloud, basic monitoring isn't enough. Fusion Cloud Standard watches your Microsoft 365 and Azure environment around the clock — flagging unusual sign-ins, catching misconfigurations, and alerting you when something needs attention. Every month, you get a consolidated security report pulling everything together in plain language — no raw logs to make sense of, just clear insight your leadership team can act on. All for $10 per user per month — about two coffees a week per employee, for a dedicated security monitoring service."
🟣 Premium (complex environments)
"When you're running Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud, no single tool sees the full picture. Fusion Cloud Premium monitors across all your platforms and integrates with your existing security tools — firewalls, mail filtering, AV, XDR — so that when an attacker moves between systems, we connect the dots and you hear about it. Every month you receive a consolidated risk report with strategic context your board can understand, backed by AI-assisted detection validated by our security analysts."
💰

Fixed price. No per-alert, per-GB, or per-incident charges. Clients grow without their bill growing.

5-day onboarding. Cloud-to-cloud integrations — no hardware, no lengthy deployments.

🧠

Expert judgement. AI flags issues, humans decide what matters. Not an avalanche of automated alerts.

📊

Executive reporting. Reports designed for the CEO and board — not just for the IT team.

Handling Objections
Every sale will hit resistance. Here are the most common objections and how to respond confidently.
"We already have a service provider managing our IT and cybersecurity"
"That's actually a great foundation to build on. Fusion Cloud isn't designed to replace your existing provider — it's designed to give them better visibility of your environment than they'd have otherwise. Rather than relying solely on what their tools surface, your provider receives structured monthly reporting and contextual alerts covering your external exposure, cloud platforms, and identity landscape. It means they're working with a richer, more complete picture of your risk — and you get an independent, consolidated view of your security posture that you can share with them directly. Think of it as giving your provider a better set of eyes, not a reason to change them."
"We use your company for our IT already — why do we need this on top?"
"That's exactly why this makes sense. As your IT partner, we manage your environment day to day — but Fusion Cloud gives us a dedicated security monitoring layer that runs continuously in the background, separate from reactive support work. It means we're not just fixing problems when they come up; we're watching for threats before they become incidents. And every month, you receive a clear report on your security posture that you can share with your board or leadership — something that goes beyond what standard IT support covers. Think of it as upgrading from reactive IT management to proactive security visibility, without changing anything about how we work together."
"We're too small for this / we're not a target"
""Attackers don't pick targets because they're big — they pick them because they're accessible. Smaller businesses are actually hit more frequently, precisely because they have fewer protections in place. Credential attacks against Microsoft 365 accounts are fully automated — logins are being tested constantly regardless of your size or industry. Fusion Cloud Essentials is specifically designed for businesses like yours — it monitors what attackers can see about you from the outside and alerts you if something suspicious surfaces. If you're also on Microsoft 365, that's where Standard comes in, adding identity and account monitoring on top. Either way, there's a tier sized and priced for where you are right now."
"We already have Microsoft 365 security features"
"Microsoft's built-in tools are good at generating alerts — but they don't investigate them for you, they don't show you what attackers can see about your business from the outside, and they don't produce a clear monthly report your leadership can actually understand and act on. Fusion Cloud sits on top of what Microsoft provides and turns that raw signal into meaningful insight. At Standard and above, we're also watching for identity anomalies and cloud misconfigurations that M365's native tools surface but don't interpret. It's the expert layer that makes your existing Microsoft investment actually work for you."
"It's too expensive"
"Let's put it in context. Fusion Cloud Essentials starts at a simple per-domain price for smaller businesses — and at Standard, 50 users comes to around $412 a month, which is roughly what most businesses spend on a single software licence. Here's the clearest way to think about it: at 100 users, Fusion Cloud costs roughly one-tenth of what you'd pay to appoint a single full-time cybersecurity engineer — and you're getting a whole team, a platform, and structured monthly reporting, not one person with one inbox. Now compare that to the average cost of a cyber incident in South Africa — recovery, downtime, and reputational damage typically runs into hundreds of thousands of rands. Fusion Cloud isn't an overhead cost — it's active protection that works every single day. And because it's a fixed monthly fee, there are no surprises."
"We had a quote for a SOC before — this seems similar"
"Fusion Cloud is deliberately not a traditional SOC — and that's a good thing. A SOC monitors everything indiscriminately and bills you for every log line, whether it's relevant or not. Fusion Cloud is focused specifically on what matters for your environment — your external exposure, your cloud platforms, and your identities. You get structured monthly reporting, contextual incident alerting, and clear visibility into your actual risk — without the complexity or cost of a full SOC engagement. It's a focused, modern approach to cloud security monitoring, built around delivering insight rather than generating noise."
"We have more than one domain — does Fusion Cloud cover all of them?"
"Good question — and it's worth being clear upfront. Fusion Cloud Essentials and Standard are both designed around a single primary domain — and at Standard, that primary domain needs to be the one your users actually sign in with (typically your Microsoft 365 login domain). That's what keeps reporting, identity monitoring, and alerting focused and meaningful. If you've got additional domains you'd like monitored — brand domains, subsidiaries, acquired businesses, regional TLDs — that's very easy to add. Each additional domain is covered by a separate Fusion Cloud Essentials subscription, so you only pay for the external monitoring layer on those extra domains, while your primary domain keeps the full Standard (or higher) coverage. It's a clean, modular way to extend visibility without complicating your contract."
"We need to think about it / budget is tight right now"
"That's completely fair. What I'd suggest is a 30-minute call with BlueVision's team — no commitment, no pressure. They'll show you exactly what Fusion Cloud would surface in your environment, which gives you something concrete and specific to take into your budget conversation rather than a general proposal. It's a much easier conversation internally when you can show what the risk actually looks like. Shall I get that set up for you?"
💡

Always remember: If a question is too technical — about specific detection methods, SLAs, integrations, or architecture — don't guess. Say: "That's a great question for BlueVision's technical team. Let me set up a brief call and they'll walk you through it." That keeps you credible and opens the next step.

🔑 Five things every Fusion Cloud partner must know
1

Lead with the identity risk story. Over 80% of breaches start with compromised credentials. For Standard and above, M365 identity monitoring is the #1 hook. For smaller clients on Essentials, lead with external exposure — what can attackers already see about their business online.

2

Fixed price is a major differentiator. No per-event, per-GB, or per-seat overage surprises. Ever.

3

Executive reporting closes deals. CFOs and CEOs love receiving a clear, plain-language monthly report on their security posture — delivered to their inbox, nothing to log into, nothing to interpret themselves.

4

5-day onboarding removes friction. No hardware, no long deployment. They'll be live before the month is out.

5

Never overpromise. It's a monitoring and advisory service — not a guarantee. When in doubt, bring in BlueVision directly — Sales enquiries: sales[at]bluevision.co  |  Technical support: support[at]bluevision.co

How to frame cost in a conversation: Never just say the number. Always follow the price with context — "At $10 per user per month, for 100 users that's $1,000 a month — roughly the cost of a single software subscription, for a dedicated expert security team watching your cloud environment around the clock."

⚠️

Pricing note: All prices shown are the RRP in USD. Your buy price from BlueVision is confirmed separately — never share BlueVision's buy price with clients. Quote from the RRP and set your own margin above the buy price floor.
